How to keep fat away by eating low calorie foods?

The toughest part of following a diet plan is often the steady irksome hunger in your stomach. You feel hungry now and then, but you do want to stick to your diet plan, what should you do at this point?

There is good news for you. In this hub, I will show you some snack ideas, which will help you to fulfill your hunger without increasing your calorie count of the day.

Fresh Fruits

There are a lot of fruits, which are low in calorie and sugars, and they can be tasteful, if you are craving for some sweets. Some of the fruits which are low in calorie are grapes, berries, peaches, cantaloupes and apples (Try to eat the peels which are rich in fiber, because more fibers lowers the digestion process and has a less measurable increase in blood sugar)

There is no need for you to eat just plain fruits, you can either chop it into small pieces and eat them as salads. You may use fruits in form of custard and have the fun of eating fruits; you may bake some apples with almond slivers and add some nutmeg and cinnamon. There are a lot of recipes for fruit desserts which will satisfy your hunger and at the same time will help you maintain the calorie count of the day.

Vegetables with low fats

You may always have craved for crunchy potato chips, but consuming these will often make you gain numerous fats. But just think that vegetables that are as crunchy as chips are more beneficial than those potato chips. These vegetables have more fibers and they will keep your stomach filled up, thus reducing your hunger. Some good vegetables are carrot sticks, cucumber spears, tomato pieces, broccoli florets, and raw cauliflower pieces.

There are also a good number of dip choices that can be consumed. You may take garlic hommus, spicy salsa, vegetable salads with low calories and a less fat version of a sour cream dip.

Grilled Kebabs

During summer time, a good grilled food for a meal or a snack is a “Kebab” with large pieces of lean chicken, beef, shrimps and vegetables. To give additional flavor you may add small pieces of garlic or onion, or you may soak the meat prior to skewering-or if you want a vegetarian delight, you may use Portobello mushrooms instead of meat. In winters, when your grill is hibernating, you may make use of a broiler drip pan in the oven to get similar results.

These ideas are just some which are useful to keep calorie intake under intake. There are a lot of recipes and options for making great low-calorie, nice tasting snacks. You have just to be creative and find out great receipes everyday.
